“LORD, be gracious to us; we long for You. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in times of distress.”
Each morning calls for our attention and strength. During difficult times, waking can cause unnecessary worry, fear, and distress. We all seek strength from different sources. Some of these sources are unhelpful. Let us remember to turn to the LORD; He is our help at all times.
We must remember that God is always watchful over us. This is true no matter how the day goes. A powerful promise, “I will never leave you nor forsake you,” offers unwavering presence. It guarantees support to all the children of God.
This promise assures us that we are never alone, even in the most difficult times. Will feel this way at times, of course. And God knew this, and why we have been instructed that we can always call upon Him. We can put our trust in God. We can rely upon God for His constant help in times of need.
Faith eternal, believing without seeing, and trusting in His commitment to us is absolute. Thus, let’s place our trust in God. He will never fail us. He is our present help on every hand!
